Discover Tai Chi at EMA!
Tai Chi is a centuries-old martial art practiced by millions of people around the world for health, fitness, and longevity.
Our FREE community workshop is designed for everyone—regardless of age, fitness level, or martial arts experience. Come experience the benefits of this remarkable art for yourself!
Tai Chi uses slow, controlled, flowing movements combined with balance, posture, breathing, and focused attention. The movements are gentle and low-impact, but they challenge the body to move with greater control, stability, and awareness.
Some of the benefits of Tai Chi include:
• Improved balance, stability, and coordination
• Increased mobility and flexibility
• Better posture and body control
• Gentle strengthening through controlled movement
• Relaxation, focus, and stress reduction
• A low-impact activity that can be practiced throughout life
Join lifelong martial artist Swan Mishler for a presentation on Martial Arts, Fitness & Longevity, followed by an introduction to Yang-style Tai Chi.
Swan works in medical fitness with Memorial Hospital of South Bend and teaches Tai Chi at Beacon Health & Fitness, the University of Notre Dame, and Wellfield Botanic Gardens.
